Our 2009 Elora/Fergus Studio Tour is now behind us. Thanks to all participants, advertisers and most importantly, our customers who helped make this year's event another success.

Plans are already underway for the 2010 tour. We will update this site as the new participant information becomes available. In the meantime, please feel free to browse 2009's info to give you an idea of what is in store for next year!

Ever wonder what an artist's studio really looks like?

Here's your chance to get a look behind the scenes. Take a self-guided tour and meet artists where they live and work. Thirty six artists and craftspeople will open their studios for two consecutive fall weekends.

The 2009 Studio Tour is completely free of charge. You'll get a chance to meet directly with the artists, and often see work not shown in gallery settings. You'll visit the working spaces of both established and emerging artists, from basements to self contained studios.

It's so easy to participate! Pick up a ballot during the tour at your first studio stop, mark off each studio you visit on the ballot to help us organize future studio tours, fill in the information section about you (name, address, etc) and drop off your ballot at the last studio you visit or at the Elora Centre for the Arts. One entry per family please.
The winner will be drawn on Oct. 20, 2009 and will notified by phone or mail as soon as possible.

We suggest that you begin the Studio Tour at the Elora Centre for the Arts, where a group exhibition of all the Elora-Fergus Studio Tour participants' work is featured. Available at the Centre:

During the tour, the studios will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. Select studios are open year around by appointment - check the individual artists' listing.

How to view this website

1. Browse the links to the left to find your favorite artists. Each studio is listed by media and colour-coded by location. You may also click on the links below to see maps of the areas with artists listed.

2. Plan your trip! You can easily visit most of the Elora studios on foot. You could visit Elora and Fergus on a bike. Out-of-town studios require a car.

3. Watch for our red and steel sandwich board signs which will clearly mark studio locations.

4. Pick up a copy of our 2009 Studio Tour brochure ahead of time. For brochure locations, please contact Jerre Davidson (519) 846-0538 or email for a location near to you.
